PM to lay foundation of Laldia Container Terminal on August 30
Shipping, Road and Bridge and Railways Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam MP said the foundation stone of Laldia Container Terminal at Chattogram port will be laid on August 30 with Denmark's cooperation. It will be a modern and environment-friendly green terminal where use of state-of-the-art technology will be ensured. The terminal's cranes will be operated through remote-controlled systems from distant offices, which will further increase efficiency and safety. Besides, active participation of women will be ensured in the project, which will open a new horizon of inclusive employment in the port sector.

The minister said these things in a meeting with a delegation of Danish company APM Terminals at the Ministry of Shipping this Thursday morning.
