Forty-nine inspector-rank officers of Bangladesh Police have been retired from government service. This information was provided in a notification issued on Thursday (13 August) from the Police-2 Branch of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Senior Secretary Monjur Morshed Chowdhury signed it on the order of the President.
The notification said that as these officers have completed 25 years of service, they have been retired in the public interest under Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018. They will receive retirement benefits according to the rules, and this order will be effective immediately in the public interest.
