According to the Prime Minister's schedule, he will release fish fry into the old Brahmaputra river in Pakundia by road at 11:30 am and exchange greetings with local people. At 12:30 pm, he will visit Katiadi Carp Hatchery Complex, and at 1:00 pm, he will inaugurate the National Fisheries Fortnight and distribute prizes at Achmita George Institution ground in Katiadi. Later, at 2:30 pm, he will inaugurate development projects at Sholakia Eidgah ground and take part in a tree plantation programme of Chhatra Dal, the student wing of BNP. At 4:00 pm, he will inaugurate the pilot activities of family card distribution, honorarium payment to imams and muazzins, and distribution of school dresses and bags at the old stadium.
On this occasion, 14 fisheries sector entrepreneurs from across the country will be awarded gold medals. The district administration has completed all preparations, including strengthening security. District BNP president Shariful Alam said people are hopeful that the visit will open a new horizon of development for Kishoreganj.
