List of 25 recruiting agencies from Bangladesh to send workers to Malaysia

The agencies on the list are— Bangladesh One Overseas Limited, Bengal Human Resources Development, General Trading Company, Messrs United Gulf Services, Anessa Air International, At-Taqwa Overseas Limited, Earth-Smart Bangladesh Limited, Khan Jahan Ali Overseas, Messrs Al-Shotop Overseas, Motherland Overseas Limited, Rifa International, Velly Trade International, A-Plus International, Al-Hayat Overseas, Bhaluka Overseas, Brothers Trading and Contracting Limited, Chandpur International, Country Employment Agency, Goodness Services Limited, Jewel Rinku Enterprise, Messrs Satkhira International, Mangrove Career Link, Neighbors Associates Limited, Tania Trade International, and Anchor Care Global Migration.

However, the Malaysian government has not yet made any official announcement about when and through what process workers will be sent through these agencies.

Earlier, the Bangladesh government had given Malaysia a list of 423 recruiting agencies. From that list, 25 agencies have been selected. But on what criteria the agencies were selected is still not clear.

It is to be noted that after allegations of excessive migration costs and irregularities in the past, Malaysia's labour market for Bangladeshi workers was closed on 31 May 2024. In reopening the market, the renewal of the agreement between the two countries and the decision of the Joint Working Group will be important.
