He made this call at an introductory meeting with officials and heads of departments and agencies with newly appointed Minister Andalib Rahman at the ministry's meeting room in the Secretariat.

State Minister for Information urges fast implementation of government decisions
The State Minister said, "In the past, after taking various decisions, there was delay in implementing them. From now on, we must work to implement plans with speed." He also urged expediting the work of modernisation and capacity building of important institutions including Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh Betar and BFDC.
He said, "Through the activities of the ministry, various government activities can be presented to the people more effectively." In this regard, he instructed the concerned to take prompt action in accordance with the rules and regulations.

At the meeting, Information and Broadcasting Minister Andalib Rahman, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Information Affairs Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman and Information Secretary Mahbuba Farzana spoke.
Earlier, State Minister Yaser Khan Chowdhury welcomed newly appointed Minister Andalib Rahman with flowers. Heads of the ministry and its subordinate departments and agencies also welcomed him with flowers.
