In the last 24 hours, five more people died with measles symptoms in the country. However, no deaths from confirmed measles infection occurred during this time. With this, the total number of deaths from measles and measles symptoms this year has reached 943.
The Directorate General of Health Services said on Tuesday (August 25) that among the five people who died in the last 24 hours, four were residents of Dhaka division and one was a resident of Sylhet division.

During the same period, measles was detected in 91 more people. As a result, the number of confirmed infections this year has increased to 18,578. In addition, measles symptoms were seen in 986 more people. With this, the number of symptomatic or suspected patients has reached 151,638.

According to DGHS data, 99 people have died from confirmed measles and 844 people have died with measles symptoms this year.
