Whoever commits crime, must be brought under law: Rizvi

He said this at a doa mahfil (prayer gathering) organized on the occasion of holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi at BNP's central office in Nayapaltan on Wednesday (August 26).

Rizvi said people want security and rule of law. He called upon all government members including ministers to perform their duties with accountability. Rizvi also thanked the government for the speedy arrest of the accused in the killing of four members of the same family in Rangpur.

At that time, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said the government is working to improve the law and order situation and action is being taken against every crime within a reasonable time. He further said that in the last six months, the morale of the police has returned and the government is working to ensure transparency and accountability of the law enforcement agencies.
