He said these things at the Shaan-e-Risalat conference organized by Hefazat-e-Islam on the grounds of Katiadi Government Pilot High School in Kishoreganj on Wednesday morning.

Maulana Abdul Malek said if any provision of the constitution conflicts with the fundamental principles of the Quran, Hadith and Islamic Shariah, steps should be taken to amend or repeal it.

Regarding Qadianis, he alleged that there are fundamental differences between their faith and beliefs and the mainstream Islamic faith.

The conference was held under the chairmanship of Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Rashid, president of Hefazat-e-Islam Kishoreganj district unit, and was attended by scholars, leaders, workers and a large number of worshippers.
