They have been instructed to join their new workplaces and perform their duties in the public interest until further notice.
The orders were issued through two separate notifications by the Personnel Management-1 branch of Police Headquarters on Tuesday (August 25). The notifications were signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir.
Under the first notification, seven officers were transferred. Khandaker Ashfaquzzaman was transferred from Gazipur to Barguna, while Shah Shibli Sadik was transferred from Magura to Gazipur. Additional Superintendent of Police at Police Headquarters Zakir Hossain Sumon was posted to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The other transfers include DM Hasibul Benazir from Sylhet to Gaibandha, Md Saiful Islam from Dewanganj Circle in Jamalpur to APBn and the Specialized Training Centre in Khagrachhari, Manna De from Bandarban Sadar Circle to APBn, and CID officer Mostafizur Rahman to Kulaura Circle in Moulvibazar.
The second notification transferred and reassigned another seven officers. Mohammad Reza Sarwar was transferred from Police Headquarters to Satkhira, while Kazi Maksuda Lima was transferred from the Police Training Centre (PTC), Tangail, to the Police Staff College in Dhaka.
Satkhira Additional Superintendent of Police Md Aminur Rahman was transferred to Khagrachhari. Railway Police officer Jonaid Afridi was transferred to Dewanganj Circle in Jamalpur, while APBn officer Fahmida Sultana Neli was posted to Police Headquarters.
In addition, DMP Assistant Commissioner Isfakul Kabir Sarkar was posted to Shailkupa Circle in Jhenaidah as Assistant Superintendent of Police, while APBn Assistant Superintendent of Police Jony Lal Deb was posted to Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) as Assistant Commissioner of Police.
The notification also cancelled an earlier order dated August 19 transferring RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police HM Golam Rabbi to Shailkupa Circle in Jhenaidah.
The transferred officers have been instructed to hand over their responsibilities at their current workplaces and join their new postings by September 5. Those who fail to join within the stipulated time will be considered immediately released from their current posts from September 6.
