He said these things as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) 2026 on the life and works of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), held this afternoon at the auditorium of North South University in Baridhara in the capital.

The State Minister for Religious Affairs said, excellence was the main thing in the life of the Prophet (PBUH). We also have to move towards excellence in all spheres of life. Only then we can succeed.

Quoting from the Holy Quran, he said that the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) has the best character and Allah sent him as a mercy to the worlds. He called upon everyone to try to follow and implement the path and method shown by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with all their hearts. At the same time, he urged all to refrain from the things that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) forbade.

The event was presided over by Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of North South University. Benjir Ahmed, member and former chairman of the university's Board of Trustees, was present as the special guest. Dr. Ziaul Haque Adnan, chairman of NSU's Management Department, spoke as the main discussant.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury said, the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was a selfless and humanitarian person. His life shows how a person can dedicate himself not just for the welfare of a nation, but for the welfare of the entire mankind.

Main discussant Dr. Ziaul Haque Adnan, highlighting five important lessons from the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), said his life teaches us patience, humanity and good character.

Professor Nesar U. Ahmed, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of NSU, also spoke at the event.

The discussion meeting included recitation from the Holy Quran, Hamd-Naat, documentary screening and various other programs. Later, MM Nawaz Amin, senior lecturer of the university's Management Department, conducted the dua.

Teachers, students, officials and employees of the university and invited guests participated in the event.
