The incident took place on Thursday (August 27) evening in the B-40 and B-41 block areas of Camp-8 East in Ukhia.

The injured, Tahera Begum and her son Mohammad Yusuf, were first taken to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital. Later, they were sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for better treatment. According to doctors, Yusuf's condition is critical.

Camp residents claimed that the clash occurred among members of ARSA, RSO and the Arakan Army. During the clash, 120 to 200 rounds of bullets were fired, according to a community leader at the camp.

Mohammad Riaz Uddin Ahmed, the acting commander of the 8 Armed Police Battalion, said law enforcement went to the spot after learning about the clash among armed groups. The situation is currently under control.

Police said they are working to identify those involved in the incident and gather detailed information.
