5 more die with measles symptoms, 1,180 affected

The information was reported in the regular bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday (August 28).

According to the report, 861 children have died with measles symptoms since March 15. During the same period, 99 children died of confirmed measles. In total, 960 people have died.

During this period, the number of confirmed measles cases in the country stood at 18,796. On the other hand, the number of patients showing measles symptoms was 154,792.

According to the health directorate, so far 135,473 people have been hospitalized with measles symptoms. After treatment, 130,457 people have recovered and left hospitals.
