Earlier, in protest against Hasnat Abdullah's speech in parliament, Qawmi Student Unity Council held a protest and rally in Brahmanbaria on Friday night. Later, they announced to resist NCP's programs if their three-point demands were not met.

On Saturday morning, when a cultural program was announced at the same venue, tension rose in the local political arena. Later, after Hasnat expressed regret, the program was withdrawn.
