Public welfare and development activities being advanced: Social Welfare Minister

He said this as the chief guest at the BNP workers' conference and exchange meeting of Khatta Madhabpara Union, Hakimpur upazila, Dinajpur, on Saturday.

The minister said government facilities and assistance are being distributed among the common people with transparency and accountability. He emphasized educational assistance for students from poor and backward families and involving children in sports and cultural activities.

He called on BNP leaders and activists to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level and to treat people with tolerance. The minister also said the country is being taken forward by including people of all classes and professions irrespective of religion and caste.

Besides, Dr. Zahid Hossain said those involved in enforced disappearances, killings, terrorism and looting will be brought under the existing law and ensure justice.
