He made the call while speaking as the chief guest at a reception programme for students who achieved GPA-5 in SSC and equivalent examinations of Sadar and Chandraganj upazilas at Lakshmipur Town Hall auditorium on Saturday.
The minister said drugs are destroying the country's talent and potential. The government is giving utmost priority to education to build a drug-free society. He urged the youths to become unitedly aware against drugs.
He further said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is giving utmost importance to education. Various initiatives have been taken to expand female education and increase the literacy rate.
At the event, crests, certificates, cash money and educational materials were handed over to more than four hundred meritorious students of Sadar and Chandraganj upazilas.
