We see Hefazat's objections as constructive advice, not pressure: State Minister for Religious Affairs

He said this to journalists after a courtesy meeting with Hefazat-e-Islam's Amir Muhibbullah Babunagari at Babunagar Madrasa in Fatikchhari, Chattogram on Saturday (August 29).

The state minister said there is no distance between the government and Hefazat. Activities of the Ministry of Religious Affairs will be carried forward through communication and consultation with the ulama-mashaikh. Constructive advice to the government is necessary so that mistakes can be avoided.

At this time, Muhibbullah Babunagari's son Mufti Ayub Babunagari said the state minister expressed his resolve to work with the ulama-mashaikh. He said he would carry out his duties as the state minister for religious affairs for everyone, not for any particular group.
