Pabna District BNP holds press conference against Prime Minister's personal photographer Parag

District BNP leaders submitted a written application to the Prime Minister on Sunday (August 30) seeking necessary action over the allegations.

District BNP leaders raised these allegations at a press conference held at Pabna Press Club auditorium on Monday (August 31) at noon. Joint convener of District BNP Nur Mohammad Masum Boga spoke on their behalf.

In the written complaint given at the press conference, it was said that Khaled Hossain Parag is threatening several businessmen of Pabna through Facebook. Allegations of extortion against him are also being circulated from various social media accounts. It was alleged that District BNP leaders are having to face various questions from the general public because of this.

The complaint further said that when District BNP leaders took the initiative to resolve the issues through discussion with Parag, he became agitated and misbehaved with several leaders of the party. The leaders demanded necessary action against him, saying that it is not desirable that the image of BNP and the Prime Minister be tarnished by an individual's activities.

The written complaint was signed by seven top leaders including District BNP convener Habibur Rahman Habib and member secretary Advocate Maksudur Rahman Khondkar.

However, when asked about these allegations, Khaled Hossain Parag said he has no time to think about the complainants' statements and he does not take their words seriously.

Earlier, on August 2, a human chain and memorandum submission program was held in Pabna under the banner of conscious civil society with various allegations against Khaled Hossain Parag, including extortion, land grabbing, and threatening journalists.
