According to the case source, on August 25, Amirul Islam filed a case in the Executive Magistrate Court over a dispute involving 41 decimals of land in Charpara village, Chatmohar. Fearing occupation of the land and deterioration of law and order, he applied for imposition of Section 144. In response, the court issued a show-cause notice to the defendants asking them to appear on September 9.

The six defendants in the case are Ajit Pramanik, Ayaj Pramanik, Helal Uddin, Mohoram Hossain, Mehedi Hasan and Akhi Khatun. Amirul alleged that they threatened to occupy the land, cut down trees, sell the land and obstruct his possession.

However, the defendants claim the case is completely false and harassing. Helal Uddin alleged that there is an old dispute over ownership of the land and they also own land in the same plot. He claimed that the case was filed with the intention of preventing Amirul from getting involved in disputes with them over land ownership.

Helal Uddin further claimed that although Amirul applied for cancellation of another 4.30 decimals of land in the same plot, the AC Land rejected it. He therefore demanded withdrawal of the false case after verifying the actual ownership of the land.

Denying the allegations, Amirul Islam said all his documents are correct. Rather, Helal and others are trying to misappropriate his purchased land through forged documents. Saying he had filed cases previously over this matter, he said the issue will be resolved legally.
