PM to carry message of new Bangladesh's progress to UN

The State Minister for Foreign Affairs said these things while talking to television journalists at a hotel in Sylhet on Saturday morning. He said the dates of the Prime Minister's India visit have not been finalised yet. Discussions are ongoing in this regard.

Noting that although there are various problems with India, the path of discussion remains open, Humayun Kabir said Bangladesh should maintain good relations with India as a neighbouring country.

Regarding the Makkah Charter, he said discussions are going on. Bangladesh may join it considering national interests. Many countries of the world are associated with more than one security alliance.

He also said the government is working with utmost importance to resolve the crisis in the energy sector. Regarding the purchase of Boeing aircraft from the United States, he said planes are being bought not due to any pressure but because of demand, and more will be bought if needed.

Regarding the export of manpower to Malaysia, the State Minister said the syndicate during the Awami League period had a negative impact on this sector. The current government has broken that syndicate, and manpower will be exported step by step.
