Ensuring dignity of labor means ensuring dignity of the country: Mahdi Amin

He said these things at the conference and general meeting of Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies at the Diploma Engineers Institution in Kakrail, Dhaka on Saturday.

Mahdi Amin said, workers keep the wheel of the country's economy moving. Ensuring dignity of labor means ensuring the dignity of the country. Fair wages are workers' rights and a safe working environment is their fundamental right.

He called for increasing trust, mutual cooperation and effective communication between owners and workers to maintain industrial stability. He also informed about the government's plan to advance the industrial sector through the tripartite consultation system.

Emphasizing the need to increase workers' skills in line with technological changes and global demand, Mahdi Amin said, skilled workers are one of the country's biggest productive assets. The next generation must be prepared through modern training for new industries and quality employment.

He further said, ensuring the safety and equal opportunities of female workers and strengthening the social security of workers' families are the government's priorities. A prosperous Bangladesh will be built through the combination of workers' skills, industrial capacity and the state's responsibility.
