Question from PM: Is autocracy hiding inside the disguised ones to incite anarchy?

He made this remark at a discussion meeting on the 48th founding anniversary of BNP held at the KIB auditorium in Farmgate, Dhaka on Saturday. Tarique Rahman said some political parties are trying to create anarchy by spreading confusion. There is a question over whether authoritarian forces are becoming active at this opportunity.

He said if anyone creates anarchy, action will be taken according to the existing laws of the country. At the same time, he urged party leaders and activists to make people aware and expose who is shielding whom.

Regarding the fuel and power crisis, the Prime Minister said he expresses regret on behalf of the government and the party over the suffering of common people and owners of factories and industries during the crisis. He also said long-term plans have been taken to tackle the crisis.

Tarique Rahman said that when the government took responsibility, various problems were found, including a fragile economy, health, education and communication systems. Along with solving these problems, the work to implement election promises has also begun.

Calling upon leaders and activists to play a role in nation-building, he informed about the plans to plant 25 crore trees and dig 20 thousand kilometers of canals in the next five years. He also urged leaders and activists to refrain from activities that cause suffering to people through the use of party identity.
