4 Bangladeshis killed in road accident in Saudi Arabia, Expatriate Welfare Minister mourns

The deceased are—Karim Uddin, Khalid Mia, Amin Mia and Shah Alam. According to Arabic documents, all four are Bangladeshi citizens and all of them are from Sylhet. The deceased Karim Uddin and Khalid Mia were from Kanai Ghat upazila of Sylhet. Their bodies are currently kept at Al-Muwayh Hospital.

Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury and State Minister Md. Nurul Haque have expressed deep grief over the incident.

In their condolence messages, they said that regular contact is being maintained with the local authorities through the Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia regarding the deceased. Steps will be taken to bring the bodies back to the country quickly and ensure necessary government assistance and compensation for the families of the deceased.
