Review meeting chaired by Prime Minister on pollution control

In the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed law enforcement agencies to be stricter in stopping the uncontrolled use of polythene and plastic. He also directed the concerned ministries, departments and agencies to properly perform their respective duties.

The meeting reviewed the implementation progress of various government initiatives to prevent environmental pollution, including increasing the use of eco-friendly block bricks, controlling air, water, soil and noise pollution, and waste management.

Besides, future actions to control environmental pollution were also discussed in the meeting.

Road Transport and Bridges, Railways and Shipping Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Deputy Minister Mir Shah Alam, Water Resources Deputy Minister Farhad Hossain Azad, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Deputy Minister Sheikh Faridul Islam, along with senior officials from concerned ministries, departments and agencies, were present at the meeting.
