He said this at the 157th meeting of the Central Land Allocation Committee held in the conference room of the Ministry of Land on Thursday.

The land minister said transparency must be ensured in land acquisition so that no dissatisfaction is created among the people. At the same time, those concerned must remain vigilant about protecting the natural environment and agricultural land.

At the meeting, land acquisition proposals received from various ministries and departments were reviewed and approved. These include proposals for land acquisition for resolving waterlogging and road development in Chattogram, construction of power transmission lines, and setting up industry in Narayanganj.

In addition, several proposals for acquiring more than 50 bighas of land under various road, railway, and export processing area development projects in Sirajganj, Tangail, Chattogram and Jashore were given final approval.

At the meeting, approval was given to use the acquired property of Bogura Cold Storage and Allied Industries Limited for the purpose of establishing a public welfare hospital, considering the changed reality.

State Minister for Land Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, Senior Secretary of the Ministry A S M Saleh Ahmed, and senior officials from various ministries and departments were present at the meeting.
