After a seminar in Dhaka's Dhanmondi on Thursday, he told journalists that most of the vaccines have already reached the country through UNICEF. The remaining vaccines are expected to arrive in the country by September 17.

Special measles vaccination campaign starts from September 25
The health minister said that because infections continued even after the previous vaccination program, the government conducted an additional vaccination campaign. Under it, 1.4 million children were newly vaccinated against measles.
He claimed that the previous government did not leave any vaccines in the country. After that, the current government collected vaccines for 18.5 million children within 21 days and completed the vaccination campaign.

Regarding the dengue situation, the health minister also said that healthcare services at peripheral-level hospitals have been strengthened to reduce pressure on Dhaka's hospitals. Isolation beds have been kept ready at every hospital, and mobile hospital arrangements have also been made.
He also said that doctors are being given necessary instructions to ensure patients receive required treatment at the upazila level. The health minister mentioned that the government is making maximum efforts to protect people's health.
