Prime Minister not going to BRICS summit in India

He gave this information to journalists after an international conference on the Rohingya at the Foreign Service Academy on Thursday.

The State Minister for Foreign Affairs said that Dhaka is not satisfied with the process through which Bangladesh was invited to participate in the BRICS summit.

The 18th BRICS summit is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 12 and 13. India is the host of this year's summit.

Regarding the renewal of the Ganges water treaty, Humayun Kabir said that where national interests are involved, the government will work with due importance and efficiency. Bilateral discussions on trade issues are ongoing, but at this moment the situation is not such that a final decision or any new information can be given.
