Prime Minister seeks countrymen's cooperation in dengue prevention

He said this at the inauguration ceremony of the nationwide dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign at the South Plaza of the National Parliament on Saturday morning.

The Prime Minister said, although it is not possible to eliminate dengue 100 percent, the situation can be brought largely under control through effective measures. If every citizen of the country keeps their own yard and surroundings clean for just one hour every week, a visible change will come.

Calling on the youth and students to come forward to rebuild the country, he said that if the country's vast young generation works unitedly, no obstacle will be able to stand in the way of development and change.

The Prime Minister said that with the goal of making the country free of waste, hundreds of thousands of people across the country have participated in the cleanliness campaign together. Everyone must also take responsibility in the work of rebuilding the state under the leadership of the young generation.

The special dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign that started on September 12 will continue across the country until next December 12. Before the inauguration, the Prime Minister visited various exhibition stalls and exchanged greetings with the people present.
