He made this remark in a recent statement to the media. At that time, he alleged against Asif Nazrul that he created complications in various matters of the government and failed to keep promises.
Nasiruddin Patwary said, ‘Asif Nazrul is a second-rate person, a hypocrite, a fraud and a liar. However, I respect him as a teacher.’
Claiming that Asif Nazrul had assured him about removing the President, he said, ‘He had promised me that he would remove the President after the formation of the government. But he did not keep that promise.’
The NCP leader also accused Asif Nazrul of ‘playing chess behind the scenes’ on various issues during the formation of the government. He claimed that during discussions with BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed on various matters, including the proclamation and the July Charter, Asif Nazrul tried to make various changes.
Nasiruddin Patwary also spoke about Asif Nazrul's role in the process of forming the government. He claimed that after the student-people movement, Asif Nazrul was present in various places during the process of forming the government. Patwary also claimed that while going to the cantonment, he introduced himself as a representative of the students.
According to him, when going to Bangabhaban, Asif Nazrul was not taken inside and was made to sit outside. He further claimed that if Asif Nazrul had tried to enter at that time, it would not have been possible to form the government that day.
