Food Minister Afroza Khanam Rita has remarked that no child's education will be allowed to be disrupted due to financial hardship.

She said, government assistance and various welfare programs will continue in the future to ensure educational opportunities for children of poor and needy families.

She said this while addressing as chief guest at a school uniform distribution ceremony among students at No. 1 Betila Government Primary School in Manikganj Sadar Upazila on Sunday morning.

The food minister said, it is important to ensure proper education and necessary opportunities and facilities for students to establish an educated, humane, and discrimination-free society. If the quality of education improves, the country's progress will also accelerate. Today's students will play an important role in running the country in the future.

She called upon the students to attend school regularly and study attentively. At the same time, she urged teachers to teach with sincerity and responsibility, as well as to play a role in developing students' moral and human values.

Deputy Commissioner Nazmun Ara Sultana presided over the ceremony. At that time, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sarwar Alam BPM, officials at the district and upazila levels, local leaders, teachers, parents, and students were present.

Later, the food minister distributed school uniforms among the school students. An atmosphere of joy was created among the students after receiving new clothes.

Public reception for the minister

After the school uniform distribution ceremony, a public reception was held for Food Minister Afroza Khanam MP at the school field, organized by Betila Union BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations. Syed Maksudul Hasan Chowdhury presided over it.

At the public reception, speakers demanded the re-organization of Manikganj's traditional Ras festival and the renovation of the lake on the western side of the school. The food minister assured that necessary steps would be taken regarding these matters.

At that time, she called upon everyone to work unitedly for the development of Manikganj. At the same time, the food minister urged everyone to work unitedly in the upcoming local council elections, forgetting party divisions and differences of opinion.
