He said this while speaking as chief guest at a special meeting held at the conference room of the Jhalokathi District Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday (September 15) on the district's law and order, control of corruption and drugs, good governance, transparency and accountability, and public welfare and development activities.
The State Minister said all must work unitedly for the overall development of the people of development-deprived Jhalokathi. The government remains strict in preventing irregularities, corruption and harassment in government services.
He said government officials and all concerned must work responsibly to ensure fast, transparent and accountable services as per people's expectations.
The meeting also discussed the progress of various ongoing and proposed development projects in Jhalokathi district. Besides, views were exchanged on the district's law and order situation, drug control, and monitoring and coordination of government activities.
Member of Parliament Rafiqul Islam Jamal was the special guest at the meeting presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md. Momin Uddin. At that time, officials of various government offices of the district, representatives of law enforcement agencies and concerned persons were present.
