This information was disclosed in the regular health bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday. It said that four people died in Dhaka in the 24 hours from 8 am on Monday.
During the same period, 1,316 new patients with measles and its symptoms were admitted to various hospitals across the country. Among them, 484 were admitted in Dhaka Division, 30 in Rajshahi, 197 in Sylhet, 281 in Chattogram, 125 in Barishal, 82 in Mymensingh, 98 in Khulna and 19 in Rangpur.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, from March 15 until now, a total of 153,279 patients with measles symptoms have been admitted to various hospitals across the country. Among them, 147,386 have left the hospital after treatment.
In addition, since March 15, the number of suspected measles patients in the country has stood at 173,959. Among them, 20,201 have been confirmed infected with measles.
