This information was disclosed in a dengue-related press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday.

The release said that among the patients admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours, 159 were in Barishal Division, 165 in Chattogram, 383 in areas outside the city corporations in Dhaka Division, 171 in Dhaka North City Corporation and 132 in Dhaka South City Corporation.

In addition, 290 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Khulna Division, 82 in Mymensingh, 137 in Rajshahi, 65 in Rangpur and 9 in Sylhet.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services data, the death toll from dengue this year has risen to 164. At the same time, a total of 55,163 people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue.
