He gave this instruction while presiding over a meeting on decision implementation at the ministry's conference room at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
At the meeting, emphasis was placed on conducting government cases, settling land-related disputes quickly, and implementing decisions taken at the Deputy Commissioners' Conference at the field level. Besides, officials were instructed to ensure regular monitoring, coordination, and accountability.
Emphasis was also placed on rapid recruitment to vacant posts in the Ministry of Commerce and its subordinate offices and agencies, initiatives to abolish unnecessary posts, proper compliance with laws and regulations, and increasing the use of technology. The Commerce Secretary directed ensuring transparency and accountability in implementing priority projects.
It may be mentioned that the first meeting of the Secretary Committee comprising secretaries was held last Tuesday (September 15) under the chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani.
