The order was issued in two separate notifications of the Public Security Division on Thursday. In this, four officials have been promoted from DIG to Additional IGP posts.

Major reshuffle at top level of police, Kamrul Ahsan becomes SB chief
DIG at the Police Headquarters Md. Kamrul Ahsan has been promoted and made head of the Special Branch (SB) of Police. The current SB chief, Additional IGP Sardar Nurul Amin, has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.
Additional IGP Md. Mainul Hasan has been made Principal of the Bangladesh Police Academy, and GM Azizur Rahman has been made Additional IGP of the Tourist Police. Md. Sayedur Rahman and Md. Iqbal Hossain have also been promoted to Additional IGP.

Besides, at the DIG level, Md. Mostafizur Rahman has been posted to Dhaka Range, Md. Rezaul Karim to Khulna Range, Mohammad Muslim as Director of the Central Police Hospital, Siddiqui Tanjilur Rahman as DIG of SB, and Mir Ashraf Ali as DIG of the Railway Police.
