The meeting, held on Thursday (September 17) in the conference room of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, was chaired by Minister of Cultural Affairs Nitai Roy Chowdhury. State Minister Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam and Ministry Secretary Ms. Yasmin Begum were present.
Representatives of the orchestra teams of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, BGB, Ansar and Village Defence Force, and Fire Service and Civil Defence participated in the meeting.
In the discussion, opinions and recommendations were given on the organizational structure of the national orchestra, artist selection, training, skill development to international standards, performance policy, and coordination among relevant institutions.
The Minister of Cultural Affairs said that building a well-organized and professional national orchestra is the demand of the time to showcase the country's musical heritage on the world stage. For this, he emphasized formulating a modern and effective policy with all relevant institutions.
