Michael Miller, Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Bangladesh, praised Bangladesh for its disaster management and referred to the country as a model for the world.
He made this praise during a meeting with State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief M Iqbal Hossain at the Secretariat on Thursday afternoon.

During the meeting, the ambassador invited the State Minister to participate in the ‘Disaster Risk Reduction Conference’ to be held in Japan in October next year (2027). The State Minister accepted the invitation.

At that time, the State Minister expressed gratitude to the European Union for its cooperation in Bangladesh's ongoing development.
