Bhutanese Prime Minister makes stopover in Dhaka, welcomed by Minister and State Minister

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Abdul Moyeen Khan welcomed the Bhutanese Prime Minister at the airport. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir was present at the time.

It is learned that after staying in Dhaka for more than an hour, Tshering Tobgay will leave Dhaka for Germany on a special flight.

This is the second stopover in Dhaka by Bhutan’s top leadership in nearly two months. Earlier, on August 26, Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck made a stopover in Dhaka while travelling from Singapore to Bhutan.

That day, President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir welcomed the Bhutanese King at the airport. Later, they had a courtesy meeting and discussed various issues of mutual interest at the VVIP lounge.
