At that time, the teachers on duty detained him. By examining the search history of the seized phone, information was found about searches for the questions that appeared in the examination. Later, the answer script was reported and sent to the office of the Controller of Examinations.

Phone use in exam hall, DUCSU and Shibir leader punished
After the matter was sent to the Disciplinary Council, punishment was recommended on 20 August last. Based on that recommendation, the final decision on punishment was taken at a Syndicate meeting held on 31 August under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor A B M Obaidul Islam. The matter was confirmed in an order signed on 7 September by Acting Controller of Examinations Dr. Himadri Shekhar Chakraborty.
At the same meeting, a total of 64 students from various departments, institutes, and affiliated institutions of the university, including Ferdaus, were punished for various offences including adopting unfair means in examinations, for the terms of ‘Exam +1’, ‘Exam +2’, and ‘Exam +3’.
