The deadline for preliminary registration to perform the holy Hajj in 2027 ends next Thursday (September 24). The Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that registration must be completed within the stipulated time and the deadline will not be extended further.

According to the ministry's directive, some people will not be able to participate in next year's Hajj due to certain reasons, including age and physical illness. In such cases, the required fitness certificate for Hajj travel will also not be issued.

Children under 15 years of age.

People suffering from long-term heart, lung, liver, and kidney diseases.

People suffering from neurological diseases or serious mental illness.

People suffering from dementia.

Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, biological therapy, or radiotherapy.

People suffering from active infectious diseases that pose a risk to public health, including tuberculosis and hemorrhagic fever.

Women in the last two months of pregnancy.

Women with high-risk pregnancy.

The ministry has said that after registration ends on September 24, the final number of people interested in going for Hajj from Bangladesh will be informed to the Saudi authorities.

During preliminary registration, Hajj pilgrims must select the district for training and vaccination, the type of Hajj, and the package. At the same time, the passport must be valid until December 31, 2027.

The information of those who complete preliminary registration within the stipulated time will be finalized in accordance with the Saudi government's directives and sent to the Saudi authorities. In this regard, on September 17, Bangladesh Bank also urged the concerned Hajj pilgrims, agencies, and banks to complete registration within the stipulated time.
