In his speech, chief guest Md. Aminul Haque said that due to various government initiatives, children and adolescents' interest and participation in sports have increased across the country. Talented players from remote areas are getting the opportunity to develop their skills. He expressed hope that today's young players will enrich the national team in the future and represent the country in the international arena.
He said that BKSP is playing an important role in building the future generation in the country's sports sector by discovering and nurturing talent from the grassroots. Through the ‘Notun Kuri Sports’ program, talented players from different regions of the country are being selected and brought under advanced training.
It is to be noted that the training camp has begun with 306 selected young players through preliminary selection held across the country on April 28 and 29. Earlier, on May 2, the ‘Notun Kuri Sports-2026’ program was officially inaugurated.
In the 40-day training, players will be trained not only in sports skills but also in physical capacity, discipline, sportsmanship, and mental strength. After the training, promising players will be identified and initiatives will be taken to involve them in BKSP's regular training activities.
