Earlier, at 10 am, Aprotim's first funeral prayer was held on the Cumilla University campus. University teachers and students, officers and employees, and people from various classes and professions took part in it.
Aprotim was a seventh-grade student of Cumilla Border Guard School. On Friday (September 18) around 3:30 pm, he left his home in Kotbari after saying he was going to Shalban Vihara with friends to take pictures, taking his mother's iPhone. After that, he did not return home. After evening, his mother filed a GD at Sadar South Police Station.
On Saturday (September 19) around 1 pm, police recovered Aprotim's body from a hill behind Magic Paradise Park adjacent to Cumilla University. After the autopsy, the body was handed over to the family around 8 pm.
Meanwhile, police have detained three people named Tuhin, Fahim and Anas as suspects in Aprotim's murder based on CCTV footage. Their interrogation and investigation are ongoing.
Meanwhile, district police are scheduled to provide detailed information at a press briefing at 12 noon on Sunday regarding all aspects of Aprotim's murder.
