On Sunday (September 20) morning, he spoke with Apratim's father over mobile phone and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. At that time, the Jamaat Ameer demanded a proper investigation into the murder to uncover the real facts and ensure justice.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, ‘We are deeply saddened to see this news. Prayers remain for your son. May Allah Ta'ala grant your family the ability to be patient.’

Apratim, a seventh-grade student of Cumilla Border Guard Public School, had been missing since Friday (September 18) afternoon. Police recovered his body from a secluded place in the Sananda area of Cumilla Sadar South around 1 pm on Saturday.

Apratim's mother, Dr. Nahida Begum, is an Associate Professor in the Bengali Department of Cumilla University. In this incident, police have detained three people named Tuhin, Anas and Fahim. Apratim's mother's iPhone has also been recovered from Tuhin's house.
