Outgoing Chinese Ambassador meets Public Administration Adviser

The meeting was held on Sunday (September 20) at the office of the Public Administration Adviser at the Bangladesh Secretariat. During the meeting, various issues related to increasing mutual communication between the two countries and further advancing bilateral relations were discussed.

At the meeting, Md. Ismail Zabihullah said Bangladesh values its long-standing friendly and trusting relationship with China. Alongside trade and investment, cooperation between the two countries has expanded in various fields including education, technology, human resource development, administration, and knowledge exchange.

He said China's cooperation is important for Bangladesh's sustainable development. Through joint research, exchange of technology and skills, and increased cultural communication, mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries can be deepened further.

Outgoing Ambassador Yao Wen said that in recent times, visits to China by delegations from various levels from Bangladesh have further strengthened relations between the two countries. He noted that especially after Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to China, Bangladesh-China relations have reached a new height.

Yao Wen also opined that to strengthen Bangladesh-China friendship, specific and planned training could be arranged in Bangladesh at the initiative of the ‘China-Bangladesh Friendship Society’. He said if leaders of various political parties in Bangladesh have the opportunity to participate in this, communication and mutual understanding among the political parties of the two countries will increase.

At the meeting, referring to the memorandum of understanding signed between the Communist Party of China and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Yao Wen emphasized further increasing cooperation between the two parties. Relevant officials of the Chinese Embassy were present at the time.
