At the meeting, the two ministers discussed various issues, including the country's communication system, including that of the Chattogram Hill Tracts, safe water supply, and mutual cooperation.
Saching Pru said, many roads in remote areas of the hilly region are still unpaved and earthen. As a result, ordinary people have to suffer while traveling on these routes during the rainy season. Cooperation of the Local Government Division is needed to make travel easier for the hill people.
He praised the activities of the Department of Public Health Engineering in supplying safe and potable water in the hilly region.
At that time, Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan said that to improve the living standards of people in the hilly and plain areas and accelerate the country's economic growth, the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and the Ministry of Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs will work jointly.
