At the event, Mia Golam Porwar handed over a greeting letter, on behalf of Jamaat's Amir and Leader of the Opposition in the National Parliament Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, to the country's Acting High Commissioner Michelle Lee on the occasion of Singapore's National Day.

At that time, Mia Golam Porwar extended National Day greetings to the government and people of Singapore and wished the country peace, prosperity, and welfare. He also expressed hope that the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Singapore would become stronger and more fruitful in the future.

The event was attended by diplomats from various countries, political figures, and government and non-government officials, as well as Jamaat's Assistant Secretary General and former MP Dr. A H M Hamidur Rahman Azad and Ali Ahmad Mohammad Mabrur, a member of the Leader of the Opposition's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee.
