Proper evaluation of scientists' innovations will be ensured: Fisheries and Livestock Minister
The minister said there is no alternative to research to increase productivity in the livestock sector, prevent disease, develop improved breeds, produce safe animal protein and increase export capacity. Research-derived technologies must be quickly disseminated at the field level to deliver their benefits to farmers and entrepreneurs.
He said scientists invent new knowledge and technology with their intellect, labor and time. If their work does not receive proper recognition and evaluation, interest in research may decline. Therefore, emphasis will also be given to increasing opportunities for incentives and recognition in innovative research.

At the meeting, various administrative, financial and research-related matters of BLRI were reviewed. Necessary directives were given to make the organization's activities more dynamic and fruitful.
