He gave these directives on Tuesday at a review meeting of new projects included in, approved under, and proposed for the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for fiscal year 2026-27, held in the conference room of the Local Government Division. State Minister for Planning Md. Jonaid Abdur Rahim Saki was present at the meeting.

State Minister for Local Government directs quick implementation of important public projects
The state minister said the matter of appointing the required number of project directors and distributing responsibilities for project implementation must be considered with importance. He also emphasized regularly cleaning and keeping effective the canals under the two city corporations to resolve waterlogging in Dhaka and improve the environment.
The state minister for planning said the government's plans and election pledges must be reflected in project selection and implementation. He emphasized reducing repetition and overlap by coordinating similar projects on a cluster basis.

He further said that public interest-related work must be completed quickly by redefining, replanning, and integrating project scopes as needed. He also stressed regularly reviewing the progress of important projects and ensuring implementation within the stipulated deadlines.
