The accident occurred around 2:00 pm on Tuesday (September 22) in the Dharail Bridge area of Haripur Union of the upazila. The deceased, Torab Ali, was the son of the late Shukur Ali of Dharail village.

Locals said a trolley loaded with maize was going from Haibatpur in Natore towards Chatmohar. At that time, in the Dharail Bridge area, the trolley collided head-on with an auto-van coming from the opposite direction. In the collision, Torab Ali, trolley driver Babu Hossain and helper Rana Ahmed were seriously injured.

Later, locals rescued the injured and took them to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared Torab Ali dead. The injured Babu Hossain and Rana Ahmed were admitted to the hospital.

OC Aliur Rahman of Chatmohar Police Station said police have been sent to the accident site and hospital. Legal proceedings are ongoing in the incident.
