On the occasion of the UN General Assembly session, Bangladesh's Prime Minister Tareque Rahman and his wife Zubaida Rahman attended a dinner hosted by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
The dinner was held on Tuesday (September 22) night at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel in New York. Heads of government and state from various countries and their spouses attended it.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister and his wife also attended a breakfast hosted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres. These events are organized on the sidelines of the General Assembly session to strengthen ties among world leaders.
