Coordinated efforts will be made to improve law and order in Chattogram: Water Resources Minister

He said this to journalists after a special exchange meeting on district law and order at Chattogram Circuit House on Wednesday.

The minister said coordinated efforts will be made to control and eradicate drugs, recover illegal weapons, and suppress various crimes including theft, robbery and mugging. At the same time, action will be taken against hill cutting and illegal sand extraction.

He emphasized building a social movement alongside the administration and law enforcement agencies to eradicate drugs. The minister also said necessary steps will be taken to ensure safe movement and a peaceful environment for the people of Chattogram.

Members of Parliament, the Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, senior officials of law enforcement agencies, and civil administration officials were present at the meeting.
